2015 Erie Insurance Paper Competition Scholarship

Erie Insurance announces its 1st annual Paper Competition Scholarship to be awarded this spring during the Risk Management & Insurance Program’s Annual Insurance Day.

The competition is open to all College of Business and Technology Center students that have:

An Eastern Kentucky University accounting class is partnering with the Central Kentucky Economic Empowerment Project and Kentucky River Foothills Community Action Agency to offer basic income tax preparation for those making $53,000 a year or less.

Accounting senior Eric Stutz joins elite company in EKU men's basketball. He became the 13th player in school history to record 1,000 points and 500 rebounds as Eastern Kentucky overcame an eight-point second half deficit to beat Tennessee-Martin, 66-58, on January 8.

Two Eastern Kentucky University students have each been awarded $2,000 national scholarships!

Seniors, Jessica Bowen (De Mossville, Ky.) and Jonathan Blount (Louisville) were awarded these scholarships by The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to educating future insurance professionals, both undergraduate and graduate.

Four EKU Risk Management and Insurance students travelled to Birmingham, Ala., on October 24-5 to participate in the Derek Hughes NAPSLO Educational Foundation Excess & Surplus Lines Symposium & Career Fair. The students were seniors Jessica Bowen from De Mossville, Mitchell Blaser from Prospect; junior Kaleb Adams from Corbin; and sophomore Aschley Jolly from Georgetown.

Join Gamma Iota Sigma this holiday season in an effort to make residents of Madison Health and Rehab nursing home a lot happier!

Gamma Iota Sigma has agreed to collect presents for ten Angels; the requests are very simple, but will definitely mean very much to their recipients: clothes, CDs, candy, body wash, pop, lotion, and slippers.
