The first Hot Head Burritos in Michigan has opened in Livonia Plaza at 30975 Five Mile Road, Livonia.

The quick service Mexican chain born outside Dayton, Ohio, offers made-to-order Mexican fare with fresh ingredients and more than a dozen sauces ranging from mild to wild.

EKU's Risk Management & Insurance program has obtained a grant from the Spencer Educational Foundation to fund a guest speaker for the 2014 fall semester. Ms. Mari-Jo Hill, Director of Risk Management for SAS Institute, Inc., will visit the EKU campus October 21-23.

Ceirra Thompson awarded national scholarship

Ceirra Thompson, of Lexington, a senior risk management and insurance major at Eastern Kentucky University, has received a $5,000 national scholarship from the Derek Hughes/NAPSLO Educational Foundation.

The scholarship was established to further the study of insurance and encourage, support and reward exceptional students who have an interest in an insurance career.

EKU Accounting Students Win PEAK Competition

Five Eastern Kentucky University accounting students brought home the first place trophy from this year's statewide PEAK competition on April 26.  Held in Louisville by the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, the jeopardy-style event is designed to Promote and Encourage Accounting in Kentucky (PEAK). Becker CPA Exam Review co-hosted the event with the KYCPA.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014, EKU’s Risk Management and Insurance program hosted I-day on campus at the Center for the Arts.

This daylong event consisted of a catered breakfast, guest speakers, a luncheon, award presentations, and an engaging atmosphere in which over 50 insurance professionals, along with students, and faculty could connect.
