AFIS selects Barbara Bock Guerra as 2003 distinguished alum

EKU's Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems is pleased to announce that Ms. Barbara Bock Guerra has been selected as their departmental distinguished alum for 2003.

Ms. Guerra was honored during a presentation on Friday, March 28, 2003, at the annual College of Business and Technology Professional Skills Conference senior recognition luncheon.

The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.

Ms. Guerra is Manager of the Audit Services Department of Edison International in Orange, California.  She is also President of the American Woman’s Society of CPAs, has been recognized by the National Association of Women Business Owners for excellence, and is active in community and charitable organizations.

Ms. Guerra was inducted into the EKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 2003.

Congratulations, Ms. Guerra, on being selected as the 2003 Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems Distinguished Alumna.

The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2002-03 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
