Scholarship Recognition Luncheon 2019
The 2019 Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems Scholarship Recognition Luncheon on Monday, October 28 was a time to recognize and honor the donors who support the scholarships, the student recipients, and the recipients’ families.
Sharron Townsend, the Development Director for the College of Business and Technology hosted the luncheon and had these opening remarks, “Today, we honor donors who, through their philanthropy, support scholarships; our student recipients, who are the best and brightest on EKU’s campus, and their parents, who have guided their children to college and a degree that will serve them well throughout their careers.”
Dr. Trish Isaacs, Associate Dean for the School of Business thanked faculty members Justin Stearns, Sarah Feltus and Maggie Abney who comprised the AFIS scholarship committee, as well as Dr. Cynthia Harter, Dr. John Harter and Dr. Bob Houston, economics faculty members, who serve as the selection committee for scholarships designated to economics.
The 28 scholarships were awarded to 50 AFIS students which included:

Junior, Accounting major, Kassidy Easterling, closed the luncheon by thanking the donors, students and their parents for their support for the College of Business and Technology’s Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems.
