Shearer named 2015 AFIS distinguished senior
Mr. Sam Shearer has been named the 2015 Distinguished Senior for EKU's Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems. He was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 17, at the School of Business College to Careers Conference.
The student is selected based on superior academic achievement, excellent leadership, citizenship, character and services to EKU.
Shearer, from Winchester, is a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He is graduating this May, Summa Cum Laude, with his Bachelor’s in Accounting. As an Honors Scholar with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Sam has been rewarded with a number of scholarships and recognitions.
Congratulations to Sam Shearer on being selected as the 2015 distinguished senior representing the Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems. Sam has also been selected as the CBT Distinguished Senior.
At the conference, the School of Business honored distinguished seniors and distinguished alumni from each of its academic departments. Ms. April Perry was selected as the AFIS departmental distinguished alum. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2014-15 academic year were recognized and honored for their outstanding achievement.
